Year 10 Food Preparation and Nutrition students recently enjoyed an enriching visit to Churchfields Farm to support their understanding of the food provenance section of their course. The trip provided a valuable opportunity to see first-hand where food comes from and how it is produced.
We were fortunate with the weather, as the rain held off, allowing students to fully explore the farm and its surroundings. A highlight of the visit was seeing a brand new baby Highland calf, which created a real buzz among the group.
The experience helped to bring classroom learning to life and deepen students’ appreciation of the journey from farm to fork.
