Tommy’s a Swim Champ

Y11 pupil, Tommy Smith is a swimming champion.

Although he’s put competitive swimming on hold to concentrate on his GCSEs this year, we wanted to celebrate and share his accolades and journey so far.

Over the past four and a half years Tommy has been training at Coventry, his achievements over that period are worthy of note.

He has won 15 gold medals at the Warwickshire Championships and numerous silver and gold medals. Tommy has represented Warwickshire at the National Inter County Championships.

This year, he won the Regional Championships, 200m freestyle and he has medalled repeatedly at the Regional Championships over the past four years. Tommy also qualified for the English Nationals in three events this year.

Last year he qualified for the English National Championships and was a finalist in the 200m freestyle.

In 2016 he was the Welsh National Champion in his age category for the 200m freestyle.

Here he is, winning the Warwickshire County under 15 100m freestyle last year when he was only thirteen. Congratulations Tommy!
