We were delighted to welcome over 500 people to school last Thursday, 12th September for Open Evening.
With Secondary School application date coming up next month (31st October), the entire staff and many pupils spent days preparing for an evening to showcase the school in all its glory.
As parents and carers started arriving from 5.30pm, they were greeted by pupil tour guides, pupil leadership and members of staff. Pupils gave school tours, answering questions and talking about the activities that were available.
Each department offered activities to engage potential pupils and ignite their interest in a subject they may never had encountered including:
- Celebrity portraits
- Stop frame animation
- Taste testing
- Grime science
- Marshmallow constructions
- Café culture
- Mastering the keyboard
- Fire and explosions
Mr Gray and Mr Eost greeted visitors in the hall and talked about the many benefits of sending their child to Studley High School and the experiences our pupils have during their time here.
Year 7 pupils delivered a brilliant presentation on settling in to school and their journey from Year 6 to Year 7, including experiences at Summer School, to ease the transition.
Feedback from parents has been overwhelmingly positive, focusing on the passion and knowledge our pupil guides displayed, as they carried out their tours.
If any parent or carer still wishes to see the school and meet a member of the leadership team, please contact the office to arrange a personal tour: 01527 852 478.
Thank you to all who attended and all staff and pupils involved, for making this such a successful event.
