On Thursday morning, we welcomed ‘Riding Lights Theatre Company’ to Studley High to run some exciting drama workshops with a group of Year 7 and 8 pupils.

Riding Lights deliver workshops and shows around the country, to make theatre accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. They ran three workshops with our pupils, focusing on how to use their physicality in drama and exploring different ways of using this on stage. The workshops consisted of a number of physical and vocal warm up exercises, and pupils creating their own version of fairy tales, exploring what their physicality really looked like to an audience.

This pupils involved were enthusiastic and a credit to our school; it was an excellent opportunity for them to explore drama outside of the usual classroom environment.
