Earlier this month, our School Catering Manager, Mr Prince, who is a firefighter for Warwickshire, was asked to attend the Firefighters International Service of Remembrance & Wreath Laying ceremony to represent Warwickshire Fire and Rescue.
This was an honour for Mr Prince to attend. He met colleagues from other UK Fire Brigades, Fire Cadets, overseas Fire Fighters and families who have lost loved ones on the front line.
They then marched from St Paul’s Cathedral to St Sepulchre Church, through the centre of London. All roads on the route were closed and the pavements were lined with people who had come to support.
The Firefighters Memorial Trust is a charity, managed by a dedicated Board of Trustees. The Trust exists to recognise the commitment and dedication of all United Kingdom Firefighters, (and those serving in designated British Overseas Territories), particularly those who have died as a result of their duties, serving the community.
