Year 8 out with a BANG


On Friday 17th March, 140 pupils from Yr 8 went to the Big Bang show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

The Big Bang Fair was a voyage of discovery of virtual reality, medicine, marine biology, film and TV, space exploration, explosive chemistry, crime-solving, robots, computer coding, microscopic bugs, giant trucks and more.

Activities included

  • 150+ interactive stands and workshops
  • Inspiring science and engineering projects
  • Careers information, resources and activities
Pupils saw a show on digestion which included a significant amount of biological action. Pupils then took part in the many scientific experiments and investigations to win a variety of prizes.
The activities were inspirational including dead bodies, space, explosions, and engineering.
