As part of our schools careers programme aimed at raising aspirations and widening participation for pupils into higher education, some of our year 10 pupils visited Warwick University this week. The event was designed to enable pupils to gain insight into University of Warwick life and see what the university has to offer both academically and socially. The recruitment team presented to our pupils who also had the opportunity to question to a panel of university staff and meet representatives from the support services, accommodation and finance teams. Our pupils also met student ambassadors who introduced the tour around the campus facilities and buildings.
The aim of the visit, was to reach out to some of our pupils who may not have considered higher education. We believe that by introducing such opportunities to pupils will enable them to explore options and raise awareness of their potential, as well as the options available to them beyond Year 13.
Thank you to Mr Brooks for his support in the selection of the pupils and his time.
