The Science team are all housed within the newly built science block. It offers specialist laboratory facilities aswell as a specialist team of dedicated staff.

GCSE SCIENCE at Key Stage 4

Pupils at Studley High School can study Science in three ways – Core science, Additional science or Single subjects. Core Science and Additional Science are both single award qualifications and Single subjects are worth three single award qualifications.

Aims

The science courses encourage students to:

•Develop their interest in, and enthusiasm for, science

•Develop a critical approach to scientific evidence and methods

•Acquire and apply skills, knowledge and understanding of how science works and its essential role in society

•Acquire scientific skills, knowledge and understanding necessary for progression to further learning.
