Pupils will study the Single Subject/Triple Science AQA specification in each of the individual subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics throughout both Year 10 and Year 11. Pupils cannot take subjects individually i.e. just Biology, but are required to study for all 3 individual GCSE qualifications, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This covers the whole programme of study for KS4 Science.
Assessment comprises of five units for each subject. Each of the subjects will be assessed via two objective test papers of 30 minutes each, 2 written papers of 45 minutes each and a Centre Assessed Unit. These tests will be spread over both Year 10 and Year 11.
