The ICT department is accommodated in 3 rooms.

I1, I2 and I3. Each room contains 27 networked PC's for staff and students to use. The 27 stations in I1 and the 27 stations in I2 all run Windows XP and are connected to an RM CC3 file server. Out of the 27 workstations in both rooms, one workstation is a Tablet PC.


The ‘backbone, of the software available to students is provided by Microsoft Office components of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Publisher.

Other software available includes Macromedia Flash MX and Adobe Photoshop.

Basic Web design facility is provided by FrontPage 2003 and Macromedia Dreamweaver.


Pupil Groupings

Each year 7, 8 and 9 student at Studley High School has a 50 minute compulsory ICT lesson per week in line with current Government guidelines relating to the National Key Stage 3 Strategy in ICT.

Key Stage 3 students are taught ICT in mixed ability groups with an average group size of 24. Students are all given one to one access to a computer during this time.

Years 10 and 11 students have the option of taking ICT to GCSE level. The course followed is the Edexel DIDA, which it upto date and flexible.
