World War One Centenary Poppy Project
The History and Art departments have joined forces for this very special project and are inviting pupils from all year groups to take part.
The project will involve, producing a poppy display to remember those from Studley who lost their lives fighting in World War One.
Starting after school, on Thursday 4th October (until November 11th) – pupils will meet in the Technology room to create a display of decorated poppies and at the same time, researching the lives and experiences of those who fought on the front line. Each poppy will represent someone who contributed to WW1.
These stories and images of the work created, will then be collated to create a ‘Studley Heroes of World War One’ book, available at the end of the project.
The project will also be displayed in Studley Village, during the parade on Remembrance Sunday.
See Miss Massey or Miss Hughes for more information.
